WIC Compass

Florida WIC Approved Foods

Florida WIC's food list covers 7 groups: milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs and tofu; whole grains; cereal; beans, peanut butter and fish; juice; fruits and vegetables; and baby foods. Many foods allow any brand. Bread, cereal, soy milk and baby foods list the approved brands, and most foods also list what is not allowed.

This page is built from the Florida WIC Foods (DH 150-712) from Florida Department of Health, WIC Program. The list is dated July 2026 (form DH 150-712). We last checked it in September 2026. The state updates its list over time, so confirm a product in the Florida WIC App or with your WIC office before you shop. Published by Robert B. (publisher and editor)

Before you shop: check your balance first. Phone, the online EBT system, a store card machine, your receipt, or the app. Card declined? Call 1-866-629-1095, WIC EBT customer service, or see Florida WIC card help.

Your shopping list decides what you can buy

Your WIC shopping list shows the foods, amounts, and sizes for your family each month, for example the allowed milk fat level and the quantity. Some foods, such as evaporated milk, can be bought only when they are listed. This page shows what each food category allows.

Common questions

Is organic food covered by Florida WIC?

Only for fruits and vegetables, baby foods, and tofu. Florida's list says organic products are not allowed with any other WIC purchase, so organic milk, eggs, bread and cereal are not covered.

Do I have to buy a specific brand?

For many foods, no: milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, canned fish, beans, pasta, rice, tofu and produce allow any brand. For bread, cereal, soy milk and baby foods, only the brands in the state's list are allowed, and this page lists them.

What juice sizes and types can I buy?

Shelf-stable 100% juice in 64 fl oz or 128 fl oz bottles and jugs, any brand, including apple, grape, orange, pineapple and low sodium vegetable juice. Refrigerated orange juice is allowed in gallon and half-gallon sizes. A 128 fl oz bottle counts as two 64 fl oz bottles.

How much sugar can yogurt have?

No more than 12 g of added sugar per 6 oz (170 g) or 8 g per 4 oz. The list also says that in April 2027 yogurt with less than 79.5 IU (2 mcg) of vitamin D per 6 oz will be removed from the approved list. Yogurt with artificial sweeteners or stevia is not allowed.

What size cereal can I buy?

A box or bag of 9 oz or larger, with no single-serving pouches or boxes. The state suggests planning sizes such as 12, 18, 24 and 36 oz so you can use all of the ounces on your card for the month.

Which eggs are covered?

One dozen white chicken eggs, medium or large, any brand. Brown eggs, extra large or jumbo eggs, half-dozen cartons and organic eggs are not covered.

What if fruits and vegetables cost more than my dollar amount?

You can pay the difference in cash or another accepted form of payment, or remove some items so the total is at or under your dollar limit. If you spend less than your limit, nothing is refunded.
