Is infant formula on this list?
No. This state database covers baby cereal, fruits, vegetables, and meats, but it does not list infant formula. Your WIC clinic tells you which formula is in your baby's food package.
Which milk can I buy with WIC?
The list includes whole, 2%, 1%, and fat-free cow's milk, plus lactose-free, goat, shelf-stable, powdered, evaporated, and soy milk, and kefir. Which kind your household can get depends on your WIC food package, so check your benefits or ask your clinic.
Are store brands covered?
Yes, many are. Store brands such as Kroger, Great Value, Food Club and Good & Gather appear across the list. Only the specific products on the list are covered, so check the size and variety too.
Is organic food covered?
Some organic products are listed, including organic cow's milk, organic or cage-free eggs, and organic store lines of fruits and vegetables such as Simple Truth Organic and O Organics. An organic item is covered only when that exact product is on the list.
